    Camcorder noise

Do camcorders make noise that deer can hear?

I have viewed dozens of YouTube videos of an area I wish to hunt. Seems 80% of the deer stop and look up or in the direction of the hunter/camera. Several hunters had more that one cam and the hunter was well hidden. I sort thought it was camera noise not hunter movement.

I read a few minutes ago that deer can hear or feel very high frequency vibrations. Searched the net for quite a while and found nothing except trail camera noise. I know they make noise.

Any thoughts, since I want to buy one.

I haven’t had any issues from them picking it off or spooking from it and I have one rolling whenever I’m hunting. Had it rolling when they’re 4-5 yards and they didn’t act like anything was out of the ordinary. I do hunt some fairly skiddish deer as well.

Except for the zoom motor I would not think they would make noise. It could be the hunter moving while messing the camera. One guy was buried in cedar trees and looked well extremely well hidden and got the stare.

Only a slight click when I turn camera on. There’s no zoom motor sound.
