    Finding Buck Bedding and Feeding

Question: I am a new ranch owner in Rocksprings, I hear a-lot about hunting funnels and finding bedding and feeding areas. But we have Cedars, Mesquite, and oaks. I dont know where they bed and where they feed, where do I find funnels? I will attatch a map and hopefully you can help me out!Click image for larger version

begin your search at water then work your way back from there, water is the most critical thing all animals need out here.

Also, what is here is oaks, mesquites, and cedars.

That southern most water hole, of go east or west of it and set up a tripod overlooking a mesquite thicket. Figure out which way deer approach the feeder/water and go another 100 yards past where they step out. As usual, around the edges of oak flats near thicker cover is where the bucks will hang out.

I love the topo on this place

i see several saddles,at least one converging hub, several benches , and many points

the points are where deer will bed

The other terrain features would make for some killer stands

Good looking place - each established water source will be a natural draw for the deer.

I just added three new ones on my new place for that reason.

I’d have a corn feeder, and supplemental feed if possible, at or near each water source.
