    Another age this buck thread

I have his drops from last year and they are exactly the same, I'm not liking his spread.

The picture was taken this week. I'm struggling to age him because of his body but, his horns are back to back exactly the same and every buck I'm seeing is run down more than I've ever seen in any place I've hunted. We just bought this place at the end of October and I just started hammering them with protein & minerals to hopefully see what should be healthy deer here in a couple a months.
Curious what food plots are y'all planting? I'm wanting to have something for every part of the season, summer, fall, winter and spring.

No expert aging deer by any means. He looks young by his body size. Long legs and long snout. He has something interesting going on with his hair around the front shoulder. Could be an old injury. If that pic was from the other side I'm sure everyone would say less than 4 years old. Pic is a little deceiving imo.

They get ridiculously run down in my opinion.

The bucks fight because a lot of them have broken horns, torn ears and scars.

What about my deer? Past them up this past season to allow them to grow. Had pretty good bowseason at ranch Click image for larger version

He is not that old. He has a problem with feeding and what he eats going to his body. Some animals just like us is different. I have a little dog that we check what he eats but he just holds his weight like a Pot Belly pig. Could be some thing in his DNA. Take him out.
