My stepdad Ed who raised my sister and I for most of our lives has been on hospice care for a week and half. He fell and broke his hip June 28 and really has gone down hill since then. He got covid 3 weeks ago which didn’t help but did recover from that. He is 87, lived a great life and was still dragging old farmall tractors home just 6 months ago to “fix up” just as soon as it cools off. The hospice nurse said she believes he will pass tonight. He lives with my sister so she has been home with him the last week and half. Ed is ready to go but his strong heart is not. Several times I put my hand over his heart and it is really amazing just hard it is still beating.
