    Kill Coyotes or not

Went to my Pig lease and found an interesting pic. Now I wonder if I should be shooting coyotes on site or should I leave it alone to help with the pig population or only shoot them if they don't have a piggy in their mouth

      Pigs and cows

Also found some where the pigs are eating and the cows don't care it seems. Several cows walking through with this guy at the feeder

Kill them all. This time it’s a pig. Next three times it’s a fawn.

Read the book coyote america, you can kill them all you want, you can’t get rid of them. The more you kill, they instinctively have more pups to over come the loss, very smart animals.

Leave them. They do way more good than bad in regulating numbers of other animals; truly an important part of the system. Somewhat helps to keep deer populations in check as well.

So I have questions for the “managers”, “cognoscenti”, and “aficionado”.

I know you as Supremacist and know-it-alls

If coyote are eating piglets does that mean they are killing less fawns?

Is this a good thing or bad thing, or irrelevant?

I don't shoot them in the warmer months unless they're sick with mange or something. I want them to raise their young so they're plentiful when pelts or worth something.

But if you're trying to keep them from eating baby deer that's up to you. If I was worried about that I'd target them hard when pups are in the den or haven't been born yet. But I'm not.

Shooting one or two here and there won't matter either way. Trapping or gunning them out of helicopters for months and months is the only way you're going to see less coyotes.

                              Everything in moderation
Not exterminate, only keep the numbers in check.

I have no pigs, should I kill bobcats ?
