What have I found? Sabertooth? Antler?

Hiking on a trail on my property here in Northern California today I was clearing for a new section of trail and about 8" down as I was digging, I found this. It is about 7" long and from all the research I've done, it could be a sabertooth, or something else random??? It is very dense and not "wooden" in weight or vein structure. What does ye ole green screen have to say??

After a little research, it appears California was a prolific home of Saber Tooth Tigers. My vote is Saber Toothed Tiger. I'd get with a local archaeologist and find out the best way to polish or bring out the true form of the tusk/tooth.
