I did a MAPS Anabolic Pre-Phase foundational workout this morning.

I did my first foundational workout on Wednesday along with trigger sessions twice a day on Thursday and Friday and once on Saturday. I did some manual labor Saturday afternoon and evening and was so beat I totally forgot to do a trigger session last night. Working with the light band really does feel good so I was somewhat bummed to have missed it last night.

The workout this morning felt great. It was just over an hour. I am seeing improvement in form and was able to up weights on a few lifts.

Also gave up alcohol for the month of January in hopes it would help kickstart my weight loss. I am still going strong with that. My current goal is to make it to Super Bowl Sunday then feast on food and buy myself a 6 pack for the day. Might go for a 12 pack!

Rolled back into town yesterday at lunch.

Woke up this AM and had to come straight to work and trying to knock everything out so I can to a evening jog. Just had a notification pop up that I have to be in Katy for a Board meeting this evening at 600PM..... So unless I gather the will to jog when I get home tonight at 9-10pm I will be missing today and trying to get in tomorrow AM.

HOpe everyone else is still grinding.

Still at it. Chest & triceps with cardio yesterday and hit 200.0 on the scale this morning. Gonna knock off a few calories and see if I can’t keep the weight dropping. Shooting for 198 by Saturday am.

Back and biceps at some point today

BB curl/overhead rope extension/leg extension
Hammer curl bar over preacher seat/hip abduction/weighted dips
Single arm cable pulldown/spider curls/bells of steel squat
Overhead cable curl strip set (just for giggles)

Been sick so I'm late to the party. I'm adjusting my diet to cut weight. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 4 days a week is my goal with moderate weight lifting in-between.

Small changes to diet and weight falling at rapid pace again. Under 198 today and should finish out week 3 with another 3+ pound loss.

Shoulders today and cardio. I’ll final will add 5 minutes to cardio for a total of 20min. Energy is good and I’ve found to best way to beat the late evenings cravings is to…. Go to bed. All devices off at Lear an hour before bed has made a great improvement on sleep

Since weight is still moving good and I feel good I’m gonna shoot for 3 down by Saturday morning. 194 is the goal for the week.

Back biceps and cardio at some point

Man, I was sleeping hard last night despite having some kind of weird arse dream. It sure made it hard to get outta bed, but I'm glad I did. It seemed like a new crop of "resolutioners" this morning making things difficult to navigate when they camp out on the equipment.

Arms and legs giant sets this morning. 5X5 and pretty darn heavy too!

BB curl/overhead rope extension/prone leg curl and seated leg curl
Preacher curl/cable pushdown/leg extension
Hammer curl bar over preacher seat/weighted dips/sled leg press/calf raise
Bells of steel squat/cable kickbacks/spider curl

Either cardio and abs tomorrow, chest and back or a rest day. Decisions, decisions...

Man down!…… &$&%

Did 10 minutes on treadmill to warm up
1 light set of flys to stretch

Got set up for first set and walked to bench, and a bolt of lightning hit me in the lower back that took me to the ground and took away my ability to breathe. Stayed dropped over a bench for about 15 minutes and got to my truck. Took some Advil and headed to the chiropractor. Same song and dance

On electric therapy now to stop the spasm. Won’t know how bad it is till morning. Lucky I wasn’t under a load like previous events so hopefully not weeks or months out. Back has been feeling great this whole time…. Out of the blue

I'll hold the torch with y'all.

Last year I kicked my tail back in gear after a few years of doing nothing, eating like crap, and drinking too much. I'm skinny by nature and managed to put back on 10 lbs of muscle I had lost. Also completed 75Hard. Best thing I have ever done.

This year I'm focusing more on functional fitness rather than trying to increase my max on lifts. So far this month I've steadily increased volume on my lifts rather than weight. Example from yesterday was squatting 225 37 times total over several sets rather than conventional 3x5 set with higher weight. You'd be surprised how more efficient a lifting session can be when focusing strictly on volume.

Yesterday ended up being a rest day.

Sitting in the Sauna after a very “meh” leg workout. But made it happen regardless
