I agree its Stupid you can get a decent steak on a lunch plate and 1 side for $15 around here.

I hat to say it but you can go sit down at just about any diner in Texas and order the special and leave their for the same price as a meal at whatarburger will cost you.

Most of the Denton area joints have been covered. I’m a fan of paradise burgers just south of town at 407 and 35W. Not a fan of Denton county hamburger at all. LSA is good too. I sure miss the burgers at Earls at crossroads. They are still ok, but not like the ones 15 years ago. Looking forward to trying RGs burgers. I’ve never even heard of that place. Best burger ever was served to me in Platora Co. it might have just been the hunger though. It was huge and **** good.

In my neck of the woods, it would be Back Door Cafe in Roosevelt.

Overall, I’d probably have to go with Alamo Springs Cafe outside of Fredericksburg.

Many good ones already mentioned. My list would be in no specific order.

Dairy Mart in Columbus grease run down your arms good
Southwells on Holcomb in Houston
Malt shop north of Anna or Melissa
Tookies in Seabrook
Stomps in Bayview is pretty good too.

I am sure I will think of more.

For you guys who think $15 is pricey, my wife and I were recently in Iceland, decided to try the burgers at an “American “ food place. We split a small order of wings, each had a burger with fries and a glass of wine each, $78 US Dollars.

I try to plan fishing trips to Murvaul on occassion for that reason! Burger and pie! Kinda like Tiffany's at Fork! Not sure if the burgers are that good at either one or they just taste better at the lake and with pie!

I think you are confused. Fuglers is halfway between Harleton and Marshall, quite a ways from Murvaul.

Dan's in Buda.

I guess we need to determine burger type. I'm just referring to regular burger joints not gourmet burgers.

For the latter Centerpoint Station in San Marcos is hard to beat.

In my area, Stanley's in Matagorda. One of those places you wouldn't expect to find a burger that good. It's as good as I have had anywhere.

Also good in my area, Snow Bunny in Bay City. Not as good as many but they are pretty solid burgers and are close to home. Tran's Restaurant in Palacios has a good burger. I like Jim's Big Burger and Burger Nation in Victoria too. And a little farther away Killen's Burgers in Pearland is worth the drive.
