Closest good burger joint in my area is Windmill Grill in Saint Jo. They don’t serve fries, just chips and a drink. The Lazy Heart Grill has good burgers too, but they are far more than a burger joint.

Parker Brother’s Trail Dust Steakhouse in Sanger has an awesome burger, but it isn’t cheap. It’s called the Santa Fe Burger. 10 oz Angus beef, avocado, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo. —$13.99.

Original Ninfa’s on Navigation has an awesome burger. They grind and chop up their fajita meat to make the burger and it is great.

JGs is good stuff. We used to go there until Beck's opened up. Can't figure what was at grnvlle/park you are thinking of. Could it have been fuddruckers? My dad is at a rehab place in immediate area and got me to looking. I see there is Backcountry BBQ down the street and never heard of it. Do you know if it's any good? Don't know if it was around back in your glory days of living in big d

I’ll second that.

Someone mentioned Jak’s in Liberty. They have a bread that’s like a cross between jalapeño bread and King’s Hawaiian and it is out-freaking-standing.

Nancy's Hustle in Houston. Beef, pickles, sauce on an English muffin. Asked our waiter what to get our first visit. He said anything but the burger. After dessert, I asked why he didn't recommend the burger. He said because you won't order anything else after having the burger. I told him to bring one out so I could be the judge of that.. He was right.

Burgerland is great. You get a ton of food for a good price. Have you ever had Randy's burgers in Mt. Pleasant over by the jail? It used to be really good, haven't had it in a while.
