I'd say the Mathews Switchback or Switchback XT would be tough to beat.

With that said, my dad still has a Diamond Black Ice purchased new back in 2007. That bow is solid and at the time, cost almost half as much as the Mathews Switchback XT at the time.

Those of you saying old bows are wrong. Every major manufacturer currently makes a better bow than those. Faster, smoother, quieter.

That's not saying those weren't great bows, certainly innovative for their time, but they aren't as good as current bows.
