I finally put one down with a bow after 2 years of actually putting in some work. I got this one in public land. I have had a bow for about 7 years but haven’t been serious about it until last year.
I got this one on public land at about 30 yards. It wasn’t a great shot, liver and clipped a lung but it was a bit high and didn’t have a blood trail at all. Luckily he only went 50 yards. Took about an hour to find him though because he ran into a thicket.
What do y’all think on age? There’s a wildlife biologist who works at the place that aged him by teeth after I brought him in. I feel like the picture is a perfect example of why aging a deer by photo can be misleading.
