    Tractor Maintenance

Bought a tractor with my property 2 years ago. It had about 800 hours on it at the time and I haven't hardly put any hours on it but I imagine I need to have it serviced anyway.

    It's a JD 5105 4wd with a 521 loader.

What is a typical cycle time for tractor maintenance?
Any reason to have The dealer give it the once over or just plan to do it myself?

Oil every 200 and hydraulic fluid every 1000, air filter just blow out occasionally

Official John Deere site to buy or download Ag & Turf operator’s manuals, parts catalogs, and technical manuals to service equipment. The site also offers free downloads of operator’s manuals and installation instructions and to purchase educational curriculum.

The service intervals and maintenance to be performed are listed right here Gunny. Enjoy your tractor!

I change the oil and grease mine every 10 years whether it needs it or not!

I replace broken parts as needed, and that's often!

Oil and filter once a year or every 100. Whichever comes first. I change the oil on everything I own once a year. Cheap insurance......

It depends on how much money you want to spend. $200 and do it yourself or $600 and have them do it.

I try to do mine every 3 months. I do not do anywhere near the hours to do/dictate my service intervals
