Help!!!! Need an estimate on pounds of cotton

I got a 24ft. flat bed goose neck trailer. I have 2 foot high plywood railings that attach to it.

So Ive got a 24 x 2 square foot area.

If I fill it up with cotton seed for my deer, HOW MANY POUNDS OF COTTON DO YOU ALL THINK MIGHT FIT ON MY TRAILER??????

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    How wide is your trailer?

Are you talking cotton, cotton seed, cotton burrs??

If your trailer is 7 foot wide, then you have 336 ft3 to fill. At ~25.5 lb/ft3 (the bulk density of cotton seed) your 24 x 7 x 2 trailer should hold 8,568 lb...

5 ft on the width is my guess. And its Cotton seed from a gin.

Wait, now you got me thinking........ It should be cotton seed!! Im buying some for the first time to feed post rut. It will be stored on the trailer under a tin roof shed.

Btw, I was considering buying about 3-4 tons. Looking at those calculations, my trailer will do.
