Took off Sunday through today and hunted. Didn’t see much if any rutting activity. Saw some smaller bucks but nothing chasing. Buddy saw 8 does this evening and nothing. He had several smaller bucks feeding and they were not interested, any thoughts?? Some does still had yearlings with them. I’m thinking rut hasn’t started or is over.

So far just some young ones cruising around. Haven’t seen anything actually chasing yet. I usually see the better bucks starting around thanksgiving -

We are in the lull between first and second rut now. Thanksgiving week is usually secondary rut for us.Comment

I got pics of 4 different bucks fighting last week and a lot of cruising this week so far. The moon may have them messed up a tad as far as moving at normal times. I think the next week or 10 days will be good for sureComment
