What makes you think one has never been killed?
There is still a lot of that country held in big chunks that don't get hunted that much. The photo I had was in Wise County pretty near the Montague county line, and on a property bordering the national grasslands, where there is a lot of hunting traffic.

Those places you don't think anyone hunts, are usually hunted hardest. Land owner might not know it. Might even be some rumors of some big cats that will eat you if you try to hunt there.Last edited by XR650RRider; 07-19-2019, 08:16 AM.

Well , like I said we actually saw one crossing the road in Cooke county.
Moser is right lots of very thick spots that are rarely hunted along the Red. Even with 30+ deer stands on the family place lost of areas that have no one hunting them, seems only us out of state folks get out of a blind to hunt. That is how we found the tracks in a deep ravine.

I also know that if one had been killed or photographed, it would be on the front page of every local paper as are the incidents of mountain lion attacks on livestock. When the Texas Parks and Wildlife confirms one is in the county, I'll believe it. I've got buddies around the area that hear a woman screaming every time they sit in a deer stand...............but they can't produce a photo. They have pictures of every pig in 2 square miles but the big cats must know where the trail cameras are at. I do believe that they believe they were near death. They also believe they were black cats.

Agree to disagree.
