I just signed up a few months ago. Just started off with a $100 deposit and weekly deposits of $10.

I also use the Earn Found Money feature which is the main reason I started an account with Acorns.

I book hotels for all our guys. I already have an Orbitz account, and when you book on Orbitz through Acorns Earn Found Money, Acorns will invest 4% of the hotel cost. In 3 months I have made $914 just from booking hotels. Not only am I getting the money thrown in my Acorns account, I’m also accruing Orbitz “Orbucks”, of which I have around $630.

There are lots of other places you can buy from off Acorns that will invest a percentage into your account.

It is a no brainer and if you book hotels often, you are missing out on some pretty decent extra cash.

Fees are $1 per month for accounts under $5,000. Accounts over $5,000 are charged an annual fee of .25% of assets.

Yep. I have it. Seems great for "small" investment accounts.

If you are playing with more than a few zeros you would be better off somewhere else.

I don't do the round up. Just started about 2 years ago and it pulls $25 every time I get paid. I check it every once in a while. Got a pretty good size chunk in there now. Maybe one day it will buy me a boat.

Hmmm, interesting. First I've heard of this.

Is this the one that has a feature where you purchase something for $5.80 and it rounds up and adds .20 cents to your account? (rounds up every purchase made)

Yes, when your round ups total $5 they pull it from your acct.

Made us both $5, thanks for the link

I've never thought about it because the amounts are all so small but this thread made me look closer. Expedia gives 4% and I book all my work travel through there so definitely worth it

They charge .25% for accounts over $5,000

That doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up over time. There are other options that offer 0%

It sounds fine for extra change here and there, but I'd move my money somewhere cheaper once you hit $5,000
