Default 25 years at the same company

Today is my 25th anniversary at work. Seen a lot of change in this industry and here at Staccato (formerly STI). I was recognized by the company today with a nice little surprise. An old school STI Eagle recently refurbished and super slick, and the newest of our offerings. I am humbled and as happy with my work as I have ever been. Time to get back to work and get to the next milestone that is my retirement. Hopefully that comes in another 13years per the plan.

Major congrats Chris. I ordered an STI eagle in .38 super when STI first started. Still my favorite. I liked it so much I had another one built just like it a little while later.

I am titled as a Continuous Improvement Specialist. I started up a group of three employees including myself about four years ago. It is our focus to improve the manufacture of our product across the entire company. This includes reprogramming cnc's for a new type/style of tooling, changing the way we machine something. Changing from billet raw material to hammer forged, inspection processes, product flow, dimensional changes/rev up on parts for ease of assembly or ease of manufacture, etc. I also do prototyping for new product, and tool and die work. This position has been the most rewarding of them all over the years. I've been quality manager. engineering manager, customer service manager, cnc operator, sales, gunsmith, etc. In this position I make the most significant impact on our quality and volume than I have ever experienced. This year alone my group has already increased output volume and cost reductions by a significant amount.

The older STI pistols are amazing and their resale value when you can find one for sale will confirm it.

Wow! Congratulations!

I've worked 27 years at my place and all I ever got was a piece of paper and a cheap desk ornament. They did give me a cheap watch at my 15 year anniversary. Crystal paper weight at my 20. Marble bookends at my 25th.

Well, last December I started my 37th year at my place of employment. We have changed hands/been bought out twice during the time most recently in February of 2021. The new company has been putting together their policies and had put in place dollar value recognition for years of service. But because my 35 year anniversary date passed during all of this being set up I was not recognized along with four other employees with the same time with the facility. Our management team, that likes to present itself as being employee friendly, could have stepped up if the corporation wasn't going to do anything but chose not to. Since I work in purchasing, I have seen us **** off $2500 in a day and never bat and eye. So, that is one reason why I can't wait to get the f*** out of here which is going to happen just before bow season starts.
