Torque screwdriver/wrench for rings and bases?

What setup do y’all use to ensure your scope ring and base screws are torqued properly? I bought a pricey electricians torque screwdriver set this morning and turns out it doesn’t have the right star bit... wasn’t seeing much else online or in-store.

Or do most folks just wing it and tighten them down without checking torque?

Wheeler scope wrench. It gives you torque specifications based on screw sizes. Usually 20 ft lbs for scope bases and ring screws. It doesn't seem like much when you use a torque wrench...

Thanks for the Wheeler suggestion. The only torque screwdriver I found at Lowe’s was this “Wiha” brand. None of my other bits will fit it.

This may be higher than recommended for many ring sets.

For instance, Vortex wants the 4-16 PST in their ring set torqued to only 15 inch pounds.

Having them too tight can effect the elevator and cause sticking when dialing.

I recommend the Fat Wrench as well.
