Anyone fish for the trout TP&W stocks in winter?

Me and the kids went the other day and wrecked them. It’s always fun to fish for something we don’t normally get to fish for.

Used to depending on what hatchery they came from. Some tasted like dirt.

Some can be good. I've found the real thing much better[emoji16] and just about as easy to catch

When I used to take the kids, I would clean all the dirt off um before we ate them.

I've had much better luck with canned whole kernel corn than the berkley baits.

(And I've been on that little point a time or two )

Took my son when they stocked here in katy the other weekend. But man we could not get a bite! Met a guy from the Woodlands who said he normally catches em pretty quick, and nothing for him either. Son thought it was cool seeing them stock it though.
