G5 Montec, Love 'em or Hate 'em?

    Love them or hate them?

I broke down and got me a pack, I've been interested in them for a while. Seeing that I'm going on an Elk hunt in 2021, I figure I'll use them this season and see how they do.

Been using mechanicals for years, but on something as big as Elk, and as much prep and money that's going into this hunt, I want to eliminate any possibility of failure I can.

Hate them. Not sharp, leave the crappiest blood trails.

Not a fan. I don't like a broadhead I have to sharpen out of the pack.

One wouldn’t scratch me at all the other made a little bitty scratch in my skin.

I shot a cow elk 2 weeks ago with a magnus stinger . She went 40 yards and fell over.. no blood trail .. after seeing how thick the terrain is and how thick their hide/hair is I think I'll find the widest cut blade I can accurately shoot.. 1 inch or 1 1/8 inch cut won't do it if they run 2 or 300 yards like elk can ..

Great heads, but leave 0 bloodtrail.

Does any one have recommendations for Elk?

Do you think a 2 blade would be better?

I just don't want something you have to change parts on. I want a one piece, I can sharpen and use again.

                  I don't like waste.

Shot them for a year or two they are tough but leave 0 blood. Switched to the strikers and loved them till I shot ram cats.

I have had great luck with mine. Fly great, hit hard and left great blood trails.

Switched to magnus snuffer. Both are about the same but magnus has a lifetime guarantee. I like that they are one piece cut on contact. I also like that I can sharpen them and reuse them.

Solid would be my recommendation. I put one through both shoulders on an axis buck at 40 yards and it buried in the ground behind him.
