I haven't hunted there, but I do hunt "out West". Get a tripod to glass off of. It makes a night and day difference in finding game. Get a decent pack, because I doubt you'll be dragging one out whole if you kill one. Get up high and glass, put him to bed, get the wind right, and try to slip in on him.
