I got drawn for abilene state park I've bin doing some looking around found some good stories of 2013 and 2014 past hunts but can't find anything on last year's hunt was there no hunt last year ?

Yes, there are trees big enough if you end up in the right spot. Not on the softball field though lol. I just built a brush blind. Listen to the guys that work there and there really isn't a reason not to leave with 2 deer.

Any good bucks or really just a doe hunt ?

My son was selected last year. Lots of deer in our compartment - but I can't remember which one. None of the bucks had brow tines. He shot a nice 5 pt. w/out eye guards and a doe. Could have shot more but was holding out for a bigger buck. Everyone that weekend shot as many deer as they wanted.

Congrats to him good to see there are bucks being shot I'll take take just about any buck I can get a shot on since I never got a white tail
