Flounder, fresh speckled trout, fresh bled out redfish and small drum are all very similar to us. I don't give away flounder or redfish throats......

I'm a redfish guy. Blackened, on the half shell and skillet fried fish tacos.

If I'm using a spinning pole and a Poppin bobber then it's going to be Hardheads.

Trout for flavor. Redfish for versatility.

Flounder.
Tripletail are relatively easy to find around crab pot buoys and gas wells in bays and passes.

1A) flounder
1B) drum
2A) mangrove snapper
2B) redfish (a 20-22 inch red preferred)
3) trout
Black drum are the most underrated fish on the coast.
Redfish need a bit of prep- i trim all red meat off. It grills or fries great

1. Flounder
2. Speckled Trout
3. (Never frozen) Sand Trout
I don’t mess with redfish. Love catching them, but hate cleaning them and only mildly enjoy eating them.

Hands down, tripletail.
Followed closely by mangrove snappah.

Sheephead was the best one we brought home last year. Closest to crappie!
