We thought about one of those, but wanted more room for week long stays.

Just saw this, very cool idea and now has me thinking. I was going to do a cargo conversion, but may invest in a deck over trailer instead. I would have more uses fo a deck over.

Exactly my thoughts. Can use the trailer when needed as regular and spike camp a few weeks per year.

Even though the hunting was a bust, Gus and I enjoyed the camping in the trailer tent.

Awesome project, reminds me of the guys bolting down small campers to a gooseneck but with more versatility. Good Job!

                        Looks great

What keeps water from coming in under the door end?
Do you just elevate the tonge end slightly to make it run away from your tent?

It has the storm flap (think that’s what it’s called) on the bottom of the doors too, but we do exactly what you said. Elevate the tongue a few inches and put our heads facing the truck. We’ve hunted for a few days in the rain like this and the tent and carpet stayed completely dry inside. Water just ran off the trailer to the rear.
