    Oak ID

Now before I get started, I am not for hire for my artistic abilities.
Can anyone help me identify this oak by these couple of acorns and a poor drawing of the leaf shape please. I've been calling them water oaks, but now after looking on the www I'm not so sure of myself.

I have always called them water/ white oaks. I am no botanist. Someone else might know for sure.

Not white oak. Water oaks are in the red oak family

I know reds are not preferred, but do the deer hit these pretty well?

White oak. Deer will eat the white oak acorns first, they prefer them, they will eat the red oak acorns when all the whites are gone.

Red Oaks have points on the peaks of the leaves. White Oaks are rounded like what you have.

The leaf outline could be a blackjack or water oak but the acorns appear to be water oak
