There are no such things as "ghosts" but there are good and evil spirits, angels and demons and there are battles going on around us all the time. Many people are haunted by these demons, that is why Jesus cast the demons out of so many.
If you know Christ and have the Holy Spirit you can cast them out of your home. I have done this at a handful of homes and over quite a few people.

Drafting thermals. When air is heated or cooled 25 degrees the air falls or rises at the rate of 100 fpm. Any temperature changes above or below the room constant will cause the air to move up or down proportionately. The air film next to an outside window where the ambient air is say 30 deg and the indoor air is at 75 deg will fall at roughly 150 fpm, enough to move things like floating dust of even curtains. Light an incense stick and place it next to an outside wall or window when the weather is real cold and north wind is blowing and watch the smoke move. A drafty house or room will get you a lot of smoke movement as the air currents change temperature
