    Snake ID

Can anyone identify this snake? Two big ones over 3' long were in a cedar tree near our house.

Rat snakes are very good climbers.

On our property, 90% of the snakes I have seen, have been in the trees, they were all rat snakes. I am all for that, hope they eat all of the squirrels, I hate tree rats.

The one thing I hate most about rat snakes is that they climb. Lose hale the bluebird clutches to the buggers every year.

He's checking the knot holes and squirrel nests for supper.
