Workday Special: Atascosa Co. Live Hunt!

Just a sliver moon and dawn is breaking. 50 degrees F with a slight breeze in my face. Good day to take a Vacation day.

Feeder goes off soon, and God willing, I'll get a shot today.

    Here we go.

Ah the first takers at the corn.... Seems I've been feeding this flock of yellow birds the size of a robin. Almost chartruse in color...don't know how they're chewing that corn, though.

Birds and fox squirrels so far. No shooters...

Wind has switched to east and sun is warming up.

They must be moving late like last year. I've got thicket behind me, oak flat in front with my feeder and a creek between the two.

If I was a deer, I think this is where I'd live???

                      More to come....

BEES!!! Knot hole in this tree, 3 feet from my back. I'm covered except my hands and eyes.

                          Maybe they don't see me...

Movement off to the SW but nothing yet. This east wind has me concerned.
