I've been having them ever since they opened a HEB here in Burlytown. Cheese and chillie, pollo, porko are all great. Pork dose have sweet potatoes in it. And what I really like is the size of the things! Not your regular medium to small tamales. These things are LARGE.

Good stuff. West Texas has the fat ones like these. I have gotten them in Pecos and El Paso.

Some stores have fresh made just like your nice sharing neighbor homemades and special mixes. HEB can offer some good stuff. We had some with White Corn last night. This mix Not the best for my tastes but they sell out fast here in Georgetown and some great old school cooking gal puts em together. Know your store. It varies. Old fashion corn tamales never let me down here local at either store.Comment
