    Dove are showing up

I have been seeing lots of dove in a field behind my house for the past 10 or so days. 75 % are nice sized mourning doves and white wing for the rest. We saw almost no dove behind my house last year and heard almost no shots. Maybe this year will be better. I`m about 10 miles N/W of Stephenville.

I also saw the game warden drive by my house around 7 a.m. this morning and turn around. Never seen him on my road before. Just thought it was strange. He may have been out doing a game check for dove since the season is just around the corner.

Starting to see more birds move into Collin and Grayson counties. Not enough to get excited about but noticeably more than weeks past.

hopefully the water situation at out place out west doesn't affect them too much.

It’ll rain soon and they’ll be gone by September 1st

Or it will rain enough so that their water sources are scattered everywhere and they are hard to pattern.
