I personally only take what I'm willing to lose. Usually a couple hundred. Most times lose it. A few times I've left up a few hundred and a couple of times walked out with over $1k in my pocket. Have a friend that I used to work with that averages over $50k/year in winnings playing $5 slots. She told me what machine she plays and my ex wife won over $8k on that machine one night. I like to gamble but know my luck and limitations.

I’ve been known to get up $20-100 and walk away. Gambling just isn’t my thing

I love playing blackjack. I can sit at one table for hours on end. I try to ignore what others at the table are doing, play conservatively and consistently, and I can generally ride out the waves and finish ahead if I stick to my game. I do enjoy the social aspect of a fun table, but I also like playing in the middle of the night or early morning, when I can sit at a table on my own and go head to head with the dealer. My comfort zone is $25/hand, or $50 or $100 if I'm way up and feeling froggish. But by that time, I've already pocketed what I'm happy to walk away with. My best night was close to $5K, and it was a real roller coaster getting there. I was playing at the Wynn in Vegas, middle of the night before an early morning flight home, and twice won $1600 hands while playing the strategy of doubling up to catch up (not a strategy I'd advise!). Losing either of those hands would have ended my night.

I don't enjoy playing slots or video poker, but I did win $4000 CAD on a video poker machine in Calgary once, while I was killing time waiting to get on a blackjack table. That was a nice bonus.

I love playing Texas Hold Em. I’m up about $20k at casinos. I also play local cash games, but win smaller pots. Hold em is what I play 99% of the time at casinos.

My wife loves slots and can play them all day and night.
I do not like any casino game that is completely random without any skill needed from the player. They are designed to take in more money than they pay out. I don’t enjoy those games.

I will be playing tonight at my local AMVETS. Usually the pot is only $500-$600 and divided 3 ways, but it’s always fun

I enjoy a good trip to Vegas every few years. I save for these trips, and view it as paying for entertainment, similar to a hunting trip.

I enjoy BJ, craps, video poker, live poker, and hanging out in the sportsbook.

I'm glad they allow smoking in casinos, that's what keeps me away. Otherwise my wallet would be a lot lighter.

I learned a long time ago that I suck at gambling so I won’t even play a nickel slot these days but I don’t mind going to a casino

I don't go often, but always limit myself to 500 per visit. I usually watch other folks lose/win and leave with less than the original 500. Sometimes I break even and call that a win.

I tend to take $5000 for the trip. I'll divide that up the number of nights I'm there. Something like 1500 for thur and Fri nights and 2000 for Sat night. I don't roll over my money to the next night. So my allowance is my allowance for that night. Usually try to play blackjack early when it's just a couple of decks. Later when they move to 4-5 decks I switch to Texas holdem or pia gow depending on how much cash I have.

I love to gamble but don't go often. But all total I'll say I'm up a few hundred dollars. What helped put me over to the positive side is one time I had a flight change that sent me through Vegas. Had $2 on me so put it in a slot machine. Won $600. Cashed out and found a good place to get a steak and a drink in the airport while I waited. That's still the only time I've ever played slots.

I like blackjack if I can find a table with not many people. but, will play anything. If I’m with a group we might take over a craps or roulette table. If by myself and a bunch of time I might play poker. It all just depends

Paid off my wife’s wedding band with a jackpot in Shreveport and have hit pretty good at Winstar, choctaw, and lake Charles casinos.

I can easily play cards all night. But, really only get the chance to go once a year or so

My son that lives in NM wins all the time on the slots (I know it's crazy) he has learned how to read the machine some machines have tells on when they are going to hit. Plus he plays the $10 or $20 a pull every time. Texted me about a month ago and sent a picture of a $7500 hit on a dam penny machine.

I can tell you on roulette the best way to win is split the wheel into 4 quarters and play 1 quarter every time, so quarters will be 10, 10, 9, 9 =38, so pick one and put a dollar on every number, so 1 quarter might be 0,28,9,26,30,11,7,20,32. Yea it's $9 or $10 bet every time. I keep a list on my phone of the numbers in order so the 9 numbers would be on my phone in order 0,7,9,11,20,26,28,30,32, that way I can place my bet fast.

I'll play slots every now and again. I think the most I've ever gotten ahead on slots was $80. Then I lost it all. I play slots like I do everything else. I have it in my head that I'm going to win big so I know I won't ever get up $100 and stop. I should and I always say I'm going to but what's the point in lying to myself at this point? I know I won't.

                              That's a pretty good strategy.

As for the slot machines I think playing with at least $5 a pull is the only way to do it. Or seems like it is to me anyways. That's what everyone I've known that's been successful on slots was doing when they won.

A few months ago one of my buddies bought $100 in scratch offs. Won $10,000 on a $20 scratch off,$1000 on a $10 scratch off and $500 on a $5 scratch off. Two weeks later he spent another $100 and won $4000. Lucky son of a gun. I thought winning $100 was amazing when I did it.
