        depends partly on the neighbors. It looks like you see him every year and he knows he's safe so the odds are he'll hang around. Then I'd gamble another year, and depending what else you have to shoot.

          This, I had a west tx buck that was 110 8 at 3, low 140 9 at 4, mid 140 8 at 5 then blew up to 168 12 at 6. An 8 isnt always an 8. I've had this happen twice, Big frame long tine 8 should get a pass to minimum 6-7 yr old.

          Now in this case for OP I see a 6+ age deer with not a ton of potential to blow up. Like others have said if he trips your trigger shoot, if he doesn't like him go and see what he does with a better rain yr. It's not gonna make a huge difference one way or the other I don't believe.
