    Transmission temperature

Ok just saw where Toyota has deleted a transmission cooler in 2020 & 2021 tundra, towing a 7000 lbs trailer, temperature got to 240f in 60: weather

So I checked my Chevy Silverado and my truck doesn’t have OEM transmission cooler ether, I average 190-210F & 220 towing in summer! Should I consider a after market T cooler ? is 220 to hot ?
I wonder why manufacturers are deleting the transmission cooler on trucks
Sisterdale to Laredo in summer is brutal hot can’t be good

That seems high, but new transmissions do tend to run pretty warm with newer fluids. There is a guy on YouTube who goes into detail about the 20 and up tundras with a tow package and no cooler. I am sure Toyota accounted for things since the truck tow rating is 10k.
