I’ve been bitten by the waterfowl bug, fishing bug, deer bug, elk bug, quail and pheasant bug (I’m currently having withdrawals because my buddies are hunting on our place in Kansas right now), and the golf bug. So be careful, catching one lowers your immunity to the others.

One of the most frustrating aspects is getting access to great hunting then have it sold or leased to outfitters, suffered through both. I don't fault landowners its just business. Only way one can ever guarantee long term good hunting is to own your own place and create the habitat, or long term lease on ground.

Once bitten, things will never be the same. You may think your getting over it. But it will come back and bite you again, and again, and again.

I hunt big waters in north Texas.

Of all the ‘holics, the quackaholic is the worst. Who else would wade chest deep water in a freezing rain just to shoot something that tastes like nasty liver ?
