What county are you in? Years ago I filed a plan with Edwards Co., received a certified letter that my plan was approved and then two weeks later another certified letter stating that approval was revoked because my 30 acres wasn’t big enough.

The plan I filed with Duval Co. in April was approved, no hassle.

Like any ag valuation, the appraisal district can come out to your property to check and ensure that you’re doing what you have in your plan. Keep notes and receipts and take pictures of your work as backup should an issue arise.

TPWD has a ton of online resources for wildlife plans.

Contact me if you are interested in working with a consulting biologist. I convert several dozen a year. Along with the paperwork, I develop a 3 year management plan for you.

You can call your local TPWD ag agent and they will assist in writing your plan. That should help you get off on the right foot.
