Brass Nail in Tree

Have an issue with a tree regrowing between my fence and my neighbors wall. Space is to to tight to get any equipment in there to get the roots out without taking down my fence. I’m tired of cutting it down to a stump to have it regrow. A buddy of mine said put brass nails in it to kill it. Says his builders do it often. Anyone ever tried this?

Don’t know about a brass nail but cut it down and cover it with some tordon. Should take care of it.

Its a Copper Nail
Research copper sulfate and it will explain it.

Cut it and pour diesel on it

Diesel and Remedy have killed some very large hackberry trees on my fence lines before give it a try. I'm 99% positive its not coming back if you hit it and a good mixture.

Will definitely try copper nails. As much as I’d like to kill the baz-tard with fire would definitely light up my neighbors house and mine.
