    Just refinished our front door

Bottom was getting pretty dull so sanded it down and restained it. Looks brand new. Now thinking about repainting the metal work flat black. Idk. To have it professionally done is $500 and a brand new one is $1000. Just saved myself some money. Thank goodness my hands aren’t broke.

Nice work! Did the same (years ago) - have to do it again. It faces East, catches a lot of sun. KJ

In this same boat. Been coating it with that formbys lemon oil stuff to limp it along but it’s time. I think I’m gonna wait for a less humid fall day to do it so I can take it completely off the hinges and work it on some saw horses.

That turned out great. I just got done staining/clear coating 10 knotty alder 8ft interior doors and glad I am done, whew.

Nice! I'm in the same boat...I need to redo mine. I think I'll wait till the temp is in the 60s.

Looks good. I’ve been threatening to get a new door, but man I don’t feel like paying what they want for them.

Thanks guys. It may have taken an hour or so. Heck of a lot cheaper than a new door.
