                          So im taking this viper off and getting the new viper pst gen 2 5x25-50.
                          The rifle has a picatinny on it, what height rings should I get ?

                            I would get low rings if the scope will clear the front of the picatinny rail. It looks kinda tight in your pictures

                              I would use a hack saw and trim off the end of the pic rail as insurance. Just sand the end to smooth it out and hit it with some flat black.
