I use a suppressed 22 for that type of situation.

Are you shooting Subs and killing hogs? I am wanting to get a 22 suppressor but don't know if it is powerful enough to headshot a hog

Yes. I haven’t attempted a shot more than 30 yards or so. But it will kill the **** out of them up close. I carry it with me to the bow blind. I don’t like wasting arrows on pigs. Lol

Get the rimfire can, you will love it. CCI federal is all I shoot out of my suppressed 22s. It is subsonic and has killed plenty of critter including coyotes and hogs.
