What I don’t get is why Zeke only got 15 carries?? I get the OL is a little banged up but you have to get him the ball more, he’s the best playmaker they have on the team

I don’t put that last throw on Dak squarely, when you have Peppers getting on you like that you’re gonna more than likely throw an off ball

WE LOST and a poor performance...QB was NOT good but there was not much to cheer about except for "some defensive plays!" Coaching and game plan SUCKED big time!

So is Lebron James, JJ Watt, Johnny Manziel, Eric Crouch, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams and about 100,000 other people. But there haven't been 20 QUARTERBACKS who were better than Tony Romo in the history of the NFL.... and I am NOT a Cowboys fan. There is so much more to being under center in the NFL than athleticism. Dak lacks the poise that Romo had in spades.

Troy wasnít a better athlete than Romo, but a better quarterback. Not really sure that Daks more athletic. Romo was pretty athletic.

I donít think that Troy was a better qb, to be honest. His numbers arenít close. He had an all time great running back, a hall of fame wide receiver, a very good tight end, and arguably one of the 2 or 3 best O-lines in NFL history with him on offense. He also had a decent defense backing him up, and some coaches who could coach. Itís scary to think of what Romo couldíve done with talent like that around him.

Youíve got a pretty good argument there. Aikman did spend about 5 of his seasons with a far superior team than Romo ever had. The gap in their careers wasnít a lot, but they played in two totally different eras as far as the rules were. Roger Staubach is at the top and Aikman and Romo could be 2A and 2B.

Couldn’t have said it any better

But it was not only Dak that looked terrible today it was the whole team. Zeke only getting 2 to 3 yds at a time most carries, Sean lee didn’t have his best game by far and yes the offensive line is definitely banged up

It’s almost unfair to compare their results considering that Aikman was surrounded by one of the most complete teams in NFL history for a good chunk of his career, and Romo had a pretty good team around him for about 2 seasons. I get that Aikman won championships. I’d simply argue that Romo keeping so many of those bad cowboys teams above .500 was a more impressive accomplishment than Aikman winning championships with those teams around him. Early 90s Dallas was so complete that probably half the QBs in the league at the time could’ve won superbowls had they played for the cowboys.

Panthers had one of the top defenses in the league last year so no surprise the offense struggled. Defense was pretty good except for a few plays that Cam got loose. That turf was terrible with sod coming up lots of players slipping and falling. Got the Giants at home Sunday night, I expect the Cowboys will be much better.

I agree Carolina is a better team than most people give credit to....especially defensively. The poke’s D did enough to win the game IMO but there are a lot of problems on the offensive side of the ball. Connor Williams got absolutely torched yesterday and when this team isn’t able to run the rock I don’t see how they score many points. None of these receivers are good enough to get separation and Dak can’t throw accurate enough either...even on the underneath routes. Probably gonna get uglier before it gets better.

I think we should let them play a few games before we fire the entire coaching staff, I did not expect them to win this game, I did think the offense would play better, the difference in this game were the two QB's no doubt about it.

looking for a bounce back game this Sunday night at home against a very beatable Eli Manning and company - probably wishful thinking but I think the defense played well enough to not completely give up on this season

Somewhat agree. Dallas Defense can surely rattle Manning and do enough to win the game and outscore the offense. If only Dallas had an offense------------

there is no doubt the offense looked....terrible, but I'm trying to convince myself the O line was still figuring things out not having Frederick and against a pretty good run defense in Carolina

Spoken like true Cowboys sheep!!!
"no surprise the offense struggled"

It surprised the heck out of me!!! They looked bad, bad and I will go on record right now the Giants are going to mop the field with them at home. They are in trouble on the offense side of the ball!! Man that was bad!!! That receiver by committee crap was crap and Jerry saved 3million on his new kicker good for him; bad for us fans! I see 5 or 6 wins this year! Its hard to believe we are this bad on offense..

I agree with most of this! Honest appraisal here! I was watching most of the game shaking my head with some cursing thrown in. The offense did not look ready to play at all!
