Default Contacting Sen. Shumer and Rep. Pelosi

Tried to contact them today via e-mail thru their official .gov sites to express my opinions. Guess what? Rep Pelosi would not accept my e-mail since I am not from her congressional district. Sen. Shumer's site did accept my message, and it will be interesting to read any reply I might get.

Why would she or anyone waste their time talking to you if you are not impacted by what goes on inside her jurisdiction?
You think Ted Cruz will waste his time fielding emails from 1,000 hipsters from Los Feliz?

You think Pelosi actually reads those emails don't you?
Just about as moronic as those that that there would be an actual physical wall the entire length of the border and that Mexico would send us 100 rail cars full of pesos to pay for it

Did you try calling Pelosi's office out sending a letter through USPS mail?

First she is an elected official of the USA representing the district she is from as well as the citizens of the USA. Second being the elected Speaker of the House of Representatives / Majority leader she is supposed to be more of a representative of all the citizens.

It should also be enjoyable reading "moronic" writing's like yours to start the day with a laugh.

States' Rights
Pelosi represents the people of her district ONLY
She only reps us citizens as a whole if she goes abroad for something
You can't vote for her (or against her) so why shouldshe care what you think?
On the flip side, do you want Cruz or Cornyn factoting in what Californians' thoughts on certain issues are (abortion, Mexican immigration, etc)?
Exactly.

Trump is the president of the country but yet he does not nor does his decisions represent the "majority" of this country.
Remember, 53M voted AGAINST him but only 50M voted FOR him.

Put that Mexican wall up for a vote amongst all 103M voters who voted in 2016 and see where the chips fall.

You're just trying to get a rise which is exactly why Pelosi has her handlers filter out "noise" from riff raff from Texas.

Your girl Hillary won the popular because trump didn’t target the popular vote because Thats NOT HOW YOU WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION! I don’t understand why you libs can’t comprehend that.

Ya'll do know that Trump won the popular vote if you take out California. That's what was so brilliant about our founding fathers putting the electoral college in place- they didn't want just one particular voting group to dictate the presidency.

Also, the libs apparently missed civics class when it was explained that the US is not a democracy- we are a representative republic. This country does not let the 51% dictate what the other 49% can and can't do.

Well that's a huge disclaimer seeing that the state you want to remove accounts for a big chunk of this country's GDP and feeds a large portion of us.

Hillary would have won the EC if you take out Texas.
See how easy that works?

And that is why the first bill your girl Pelosi read on the floor of the house was from another libtard like you yourself that wanted to do away with the EC and limit trump's executive powers. They know they cant beat him next go around and they still try to resist, block, and destroy everything he does and wants to do. They are too hell bent on stopping him to actually do the jobs they are elected to do. But vermin like you are the main reason they have the power they do. Its apparent you and your kind dont matter much here on the green screen or in texas but in the large metro areas of this country is where yall shine and thrive. So yes there is a place for you but as most on here are concerned you are just a distant voice that doesn't matter much. I truly am sorry that your girl hilldabeast did not win and you could have your way but suck it up snowball and deal with it like we all did for 8 damm years. Most of us are tired of your dribble and crying.

Aren't republic and representative democracy synonyms?

LoL
You talk alot but I guarantee I've done more for GOP campaigns (over the last 20 years) than you have
Just because I don't support Trump doesn't mean I don't support Republican ideals
And y'all know good and well Trump is not the definition of Republican ideals before 2016.
Listen to mitt Romney today.
He tells it like it is.
Trump is not a Republican, he simply ran on the Republican ticket.

If it’s a popular vote wins then the candidates would totally change the area they spend time in.

Trump mostly didn’t go to California and Texas. Both large population states are good examples. The candidates do go to mostly decided states on occasion but it’s mostiy for fundraising not getting more votes.

Who knows who would have won if it was not an electoral college. It’s because the campaigns would have been entirely different.

Trump won 304 - 227 in the electoral college
Take out Texas 38 votes and thatís still 266.

266 > 227. Unless thatís that new math they teach now.

If no candidate receives a majority of Electoral votes, the House of Representatives elects the President from the 3 Presidential candidates who received the most Electoral votes. Therefore Trump still wins with the house majority being republican at the time of the election.

Technically the total would have been 266-265 in favor of Trump. (You take 38 and put it on the other side) Since neither one would have won the 270 electoral votes needed the vote would have gone to the House of Representatives to decide. In theory Trump would win since the Republicans had majority of the house at the time but with the animosity to Trump from politicians on both sides that wouldn't be a guarantee in this election.

Yes but I think all republicans and maybe even a couple of dems would have said "anybody but Hillary". The Sanders supporters might have even gone with Trump. All water under the bridge now and the snowflakes are still falling-----somewhere.
