Default Trump, Pelosi and Schumer Meeting

Did any of you guys watch the meeting? I am glad that Trump stuck to his guns and didn't give in. I honestly think that Schumer and Pelosi went into that meeting feeling like they had some sort of upper hand having just won the election. Didn't quite seem to go as planned in my opinion.

I don't think that any of them are idiots. Pelosi and Schumer are conniving politicians and they know exactly what they are doing.

“It’s like a manhood thing for him,” Pelosi said, according to the source. “As if manhood could ever be associated with him.”

“I was trying to be the mom. I can’t explain it to you. It was so wild. It goes to show you: you get into a tinkle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you,” Pelosi said, drawing laughs from her fellow Dems, according to the aide in the room.

I bet that hag smelled like skunk **** before the meeting

Close the government or fund the wall?

Dems are on the losing end of this equation.

Should have had this showdown before the midterms.

Botox and Crying Chuck got blind sided big time. They didn't know Trump was going to open the curtains and let the reporters and cameras in. Played them like a fine fiddle he did! Poor Chucky had that lost sick look like he was watching his house burn down with everything he owned inside. Botox caught off guard and kept wanting the conversations to be in private setting and couldn't even put a coherent sentence together. Gubmint shutdown and no wall funding is now on the democrats. What a show! Don't have to worry about FAKE news media twisting anything. It was all caught live and unedited. MAGA!

Only problem I see with it is that the mainstream media will report this to make Trump look bad. People won’t spend time to watch the video. They’ll just believe what the media portrays

Saw one news clip......it showed Trump being an angry bully and then Pelosi answering reporters' questions so she could give her prepared version of what happened.

I think it was bad for Trump. He repeatedly said on camera that he'd take the blame for a government shutdown, and Pelosi and Schumer both repeatedly said they don't want one.

Anytime there's a government shutdown, the party that takes the biggest beating in the court of public opinion for causing the shutdown is typically forced to fold. Given those statements, who do you think the public will blame for a shutdown now?

The Scare Crow and the Weasel, they'll probably file animal abuse charges on Trump for the way they were treated. Trump told them in no uncertain terms he wanted the wall built.

Watch the Weasel tell Trump he'll vote to fund the wall but only after Trump meets all the demands of the migrant group at the border.

The migrants are now demanding that the US pay them $50,000 per person and they will go home or let them in the US! This is to repay them for all the money the US stole from Honduras! LOL!

The latest survey from Nielsen shows CNN is losing the prime time cable news race. It has 944,000 viewers from 8 to 11 p.m. EST. Compare that to 2.3 million for Fox News and 1.7 million for MSNBC.

The overwhelming majority of folks watch Fox News and therefore get the full version, not just selected sound bytes like CNN produces. Also the majority of those who watch MSNBC also watch Fox in order to get the full picture. Those who get all their news from CNN are pretty much glued to them as their only source and are very much in the minority. I see Trump as the clear winner of yesterday's ambush.

I loved every second of that meeting. It's the first time in my lifetime I see a Republican pushing back. I just hope he does not cave at some point. Pizz on those freakin dems. Pizz on their amnesty and pizz on their socialist views. That wall would pay for itself in 6 months if built.

It's reported that it costs the tax payers $70,000 a year for each illegal that gets in and stays. What do you think a 100,000 illegals cost? or 11 million of them? I think that wall gets paid for in about a week

they all should be put on a chain gang picking up trash on the side of the hwy till they accrue enough money for their bus ticket back to where they came from. or let mexico pay for it; after all they are the ones who let them in to get as far as they have.

The wall is all fine and dandy, I guess. I'm not sure why we don't do a couple things to take away most of the incentives of the illegals, before spending a lot of money on a wall. Why not make E-Verify mandatory in every state? Why not make it illegal for ILLEGALS to receive government assistance?

If that doesn't fix the problem and we still need a wall, lets build the best wall ever. But if we keep providing jobs and free handouts.....desperate people will find a way around a wall.

Yep. With fewer illegals working tax revenue will increase and make funding it easier.

They (the media and uniformed citizens) will of course blame Trump. Who cares?.. that ship has long sailed. Each time there is a government shutdown all it does it show more and more people how little if anything it affects a persons day to day life. And that is something the Dems don't want more figuring out that is why they have to go to great lengths to manufacture disasters during a shutdown. The very thought of a government shutdown must strike fear on the democrat plantation.

I really liken it to typical political posturing on both sides.

Question: Trump eluded to parts of the wall that had already been built and how it was curbing illegals from crossing. Has any length of wall actually been built? The only images I have seen are very short, almost prototype, walls.

If I am not mistaken 7-8 miles of wall has been constructed near the town of Calexico,California to create funnel points for entry.

One of Trump's issues that he ran on (and got elected on) was border security/wall. Saying that Mexico was going to pay for it was kind of a stupid statement- the only way they would "pay" for it is if we pare back the aid we send Mexico to match what is needed to built the wall. I also think "wall" doesn't have to be a physical barrier- anything that can monitor/deter entering the country illegally. Here is the thing about a "government shutdown" that the sheeple don't really understand. The only thing that gets shutdown is national monuments and parks that require manning and unessential personnel. I have always wondered, if they are unessential why do we even have them on the payroll. Secondly, they may not be getting paid right now but once everything gets back to normal they get their pay they missed payed back to them. All this amounts to is a big political hammer fight to get votes.

Actually, it's more government waste. All those government employees they send home during the shutdown will get back-pay for ALL of that off-time when the government opens back up. The OBM estimated the 2013 shutdown (16 days) cost $2 Billion in lost productivity. Not to mention the cost to the economy: the 2013 was estimated (by S&P) to have cost the economy $24 billion.

Yeah, social security still gets paid, critical services are kept running, and troops don't desert, but let's not pretend there is no effect from a shutdown. And those have all been relatively short. We've never shut down for more than 21 days.

There's a reason democrats caved when during the last shutdown. They tried to use a government shut down to get their way on a single issue (DACA). Public opinion quickly turned against them, and they threw in the towel. I think Trump trying the same thing with the wall will end poorly.

Now please don't get me wrong. I believe we have a massive illegal immigration problem, and Trump is the only one really trying to do anything about it. But this is just how I think it'll play out.

I really think that neither side (other than Trump) want to do squat about the problem.... one side wants the votes and the other wants the cheap labor.

Wonder why the wall wasn't funded when we had control of both the house and senate?

I wonder why Obamacare wasnt completely shut down or defunded as well.

Those that vote GOP straight ticket, don't ever complain about Obamacare again because those straight ticket Repubs you put/kept in office with a 3 branch majority didn't beau up when they had the chance.

You have to ask yourself (and them).....why is that???

Now, I just couldn’t imagine that any of these humble public servants would have ANYTHING less than our best interests in mind...

Those three probably all laughed and back slapped after that episode of reality television.

Vote them all out.
