No problem, I've done all the maintenance on our boats over the years. The only thing I've ever had the dealer do was the VST filter on the Yamaha on our pontoon boat, but after that $1,300 tab ill do it myself next time.

Hey I took the water pump off and was hoping I could just replace impeller. But now I’m worried there’s a bigger problem. See pic below. The impeller seems to be off center. Could something be bent?

Are the fins supposed to compress when they hit the crescent shaped part?

Any I've replaced where off center and they compressed near the inlet/outlet but take it with a grain of salt as I am certainly not a boat mechanic.

That’s normal. Put a new impeller on and be done with it.

Remember the directions that the fans were spinning on the original one they must go back on in that direction when you put the new impeller on

Popped the new impeller in and she seems to be good to go! Will give her a test run this weekend. Thanks to all for the encouragement. Probably saved me a lot of money and headache!

Speaking of next project...the Bimini rope needs fixing. Metal pole broke.

Go to home depot and grab a 3/4” EMT set screw coupling. Should work perfectly. It will be in the electrical department.

Grab a 1” also while you’re at it. Just in case
