    Oak species

I googled as much as i could but cannot seem to find a match on type of oak tree this is. I match the leaves but the bark is not right, or the size/trunk look right, but the acorns look different. Anybody know what specific species this is? It is the ONLY species on my property with acorn crop.

        Oak species

Is that in the white oak family? I have another right by the house.

Edit: after researching “water oak” they show to be in the red oak family. Our acorns look longer than the ones online, but the leaves are a match.

I thought white oak species have rounded leaves and red oak species have pointed edges/leaves?

The older the oak tree the longer the nuts get.

I thought the same, but water oak matches what i’m seeing and research said it was part of red oak family. I leaned something new today.
