    Smoking a venison ham

Shot a doe tonight and the hams just look perfect for smoking. What are the tips/tricks and don’t do’s when smoking a whitetail ham?

Brother I always season mine up, put some liquid smoke and place it in a large turkey bag, cook at around 225 for about 12hrs, then Thank me later

    God Bless

I would brine it a few days. Deer doesn’t have enough fat in it. Maybe wrap in bacon

        ^^^^^This

“Ham” is pork. I know what you mean by the “ham” but there is not enough fat in venison. if there is enough fat on a deer you should trim it all off because does not render like beef or pork. Not tasty at all.
