This is my best whitetail by a good margin score wise. I got him in November 2019 in McMullen County. Due to my taxidermist getting Covid and a having a rough time with it I was delayed in getting the deer back. The good news is he made a fully recovery.
This is a special buck to me not only because he is my best but my oldest son (5 years old at the time) actually spotted him first early in the morning just at day break. I scored him at just under 167”. Low fence, free range (I have no issue with high fence, haha).
I think he turned out really well and my favorite thing about him is probably the matching kickers on the G2's. The one thing I was unsure of is the “habitat” that I ordered with the mount basically the rocks and cactus. At this point I think it looks pretty cool but if I get tired of it it’s easily removed with a couple screws in the back of the mount.
It’ll be hard to top this one but will be fun trying!
