Dang man, hate to read she wasn't recovered. They are amazing tough but not invincible to an arrow! The bull I shot with a 300 WM didn't much blood on the ground at all either, direct heart shot at that. Luckily it was open field and I saw him drop. Had I had to track him, it would've been difficult because there was so little blood. Their hide seals up so good

Keep at em, you'll get another shot.

With that penetration you should’ve got one lung. I bet she runs for a while but ends up dead. You must’ve hit a big bone in the leg. Scapula should’ve produced a pass through. Their skin does sort of seal the wound area and they can produce poor blood trails. Good luck and I hope you find it.

Saw nothing this morning so I moved to a new spot. Deeper in woods than I was before and looking over a huge scat pile with 5 or 6 heavy trails coming to it.

A light drizzle all afternoon so far

I learned another thing. Wear water proof boots and don’t show up to a hunt where they’re predicting anywhere from 40-90% chance of rain without some kind of rain pants. Gonna be a miserable last couple hours with soaking wet feet and pants [emoji1787][emoji1787]

I’m glad I decidedly to sit with my wife lol. I would be feeling the same way on that tripod. We had a javelina walk by so far.

Nice first buck public land trophy man. You will never forget that first buck experience.

Great shot placement by the way.
