Man that is a tough one. I don't mind loosing in big events as lo ng as they are competitive. It happens at all ages - hope the bounce back game is a win.

Just rolled in after 14 day, over 3,600 miles and three tourneys in Houston, Fort Myers and Atlanta. Spent the last 7 days in Atlanta at the Perfect Game 15U/2022 WWBA Championships. 312 teams in 39 pools, pool winners make it to bracket play.

We were 5 and 1 going into our last pool game and a win put us into bracket play. Coach gave my son the ball and he showed out against the 2nd highest run scoring team in our pool. 4 innings, 1 hit, no walks and 7 K's on 4 different pitches. We won it in a run rule.

We beat the East Cobb Astros In the 1st round of brackets then ran into our parent club's national team who we had given up our short stop to for the week. We had the same situation in June at the Wilson Premiere West and lost to them 3 to 2 after having the tie run on 3rd in the last inning. This go round we were simply out of pitching. Ended up losing 8 to 0. The National team went on to win going 12 and 0 scoring 113 runs and giving up 8.

We made it down to the final 32 of 312 teams and boys played their hearts out. Great experience and I am sure a lot of the boys got on some college radars.

Here is a little clip of my son's 7 K performance:

Great stuff Jim. Your boy looks like a grown man on the bump! My boys have been hitting 1 day a week and that's about it for ball. They do some band work and a yoga video 3-4 days a week. The oldest goes to highschool next year and has been doing summer school workouts. Hopefully we gain alittle mobility and strength this summer.

Any suggestions on throwing drills for a big awkward 11 year old? Lol. My youngest just cant seem to figure throwing out. He constantly drops his arm, pushes the ball, or flies open. I've tried everything and he's pretty frustrated with it as well. Also because of his mechanics he has one of the weakest arms on the team. Just looking to see if there is a "magic" drill you guys know about for when we start throwing again.

Have you had him work on pull downs? Aka, crow hops or running throws. Get him moving and throwing for distances. It will teach him to use his whole body to throw and take the emphasis off his arm. Get him good and warm then have him try to launch a few from a running start as far as he can chunk it. Only a few throws like this at a time to start until he builds some strength. Once he starts recruiting his whole body to throw the arm will fall in line

Yep - that's Landon. Field 7 tonight at 6pm. My son Gage plays center.

We are playing some good ball...ranked #1 in our pool so far. Win tonight stay and play....lose and we go home.

Cwill- Long toss routine. And not just lobbing the ball. Burn out your partner long toss. He will catch up. Hard when they are stretching so much

No turnover from our Spring team - one kiddo moving away to NC, and another stepping in.

Doing Sunday Double Header and 2-3 tourneys. Also playing flag football. I want more and more just to do agility and track stuff.

We got some turn over..couple real good kids and a couple kids with some maturity issues..
Get a new coach (tans 8u AAA coach and the 9u major coach from last year) ..so we're excited about that.

We finally got some answers about our current team and looks like we've lost 4 so far and are getting 2 new coaches. Our old coach is going to assist on another team and wants us to come over there.... It's been a baseball drama filled day and I have no idea what we are going to do...

Our boys won it all in the last Tourney of the Summer!

They went 6-0 in this Vtool 16u /2021 event.

My knucklehead is front row / middle with high socks...

My coworkers kid won their vtool pool at premier too..
Brought in a 15year old 6'6" 230lb lefty for championship game.. and he brought like 5 scouts out of the wood work.. kid only threw mid 70s.. but had a nasty curve.

Back row are 6'2"ish
Hes the one on far left.

Looks like Brock is going to be a Dallas Mustang this fall. New team formed with 4 of our ASB kids, 4 from another team and a couple other kids. The coach is a dad of one of our ASB kids and has a good reputation from everyone I've talked to. He only wants to practice for the fall and maybe mix in a scrimmage or 2, which is awesome, so we are pretty excited to see how it pans out.

And looks like my youngest wants to take the fall off to hunt more so can't me happier about that either . I asked him what he's going to do in the spring if his current team says they are full and he just said, "I'll find a new team.".

Welp... he cracked the cat8 composite..
We take care of his bats and it was broken in exactly to maruccis instructions.. so i know it was from normal use.. .
has a ton of hits on it with the last 5 months or so being harder and harder as his swing and strength got better.
Think weve had it just about a year... have to check my emails..
We've had a 29 cat8 composite so hes good but need a backup and thinking of going rawlings..
Anyone else using them?
(Not interested in zens ..seen a ton of issues with them first hand )

We've had the best luck with LS bats by far. My oldest swung a Rawlings briefly and it didn't hold up. My youngest played 10u last season and swung a -8 LS prime. No doubt it's the hottest bat either of my son's have ever swung!

They might have issues but nothing performs like a zen Demarini by far has the best performing bat especially when it comes to BBCOR

No problem! Have you guys been to the Barcelona in Fulshear? Would be a good place for him to swing a bunch of sticks before you buy.
