No way I’m shooting that deer on the place I hunt. He’s just a baby.

Same here. No reason to cull a yearling unless you have to due to completely unchecked populations.

220swift, im curious to how you determine a "cull" and what your reasoning for culling is.

Probably not a great year to cull unless you have history with a particular deer

I don't have any cameras running right now or else I'd try and play along.

They started in on you quick.

No pics to add, but that deer you posted just looks like a stag to me. I bet he never sheds velvet.

I had one similar last year to that one. Hoped to kill him this year but he hasn’t shown up

That buck wouldn’t be legal on my place.

Basically any deer that I don’t want to see another like him. Again, we are blessed with a TON of deer. We have been culling for 15 years and still have tons of junk and tons of deer.

Was just hoping to see pics of ugly deer, not get into what is or isn’t a cull….

Same, plus with that kind of start he could be unreal in a few years.

Why do you want to cull that young buck?

Should have said "skimmed". It is protection from all the whining posts .....

If it makes you happy to skim, cull or ground check on your lease than so be it. They can have a say after they pay your lease dues and buy that first load of corn.
