View this email in your browser

Tired of the Texas heat? Well, you can join us at Trinchera Ranch for cooler weather and spectacular fishing in just a few days!
    Greetings Fellow Fly Fishers,

We have had a few spots open up for our upcoming trip to Trinchera Ranch on July 25th-29th! Chris just returned from two weeks of guiding at Trinchera and the fishing was off the charts. Now, he is headed back up for one more trip this summer and there are two remaining spots that opened up! If you are interested, please contact Chris Johnson at (512) 828-3474 or reply to this email. Spaces will be filled on a first come - first served basis. Rates and info are listed below:

    Trip Dates and Cost
July 25th-29th – Deposit due ASAP / Final payment due ASAP

    Total Cost - $3,450 per angler / $2,250 per non-angler
(Price includes gratuity for ranch staff but not fishing guides)
    ----------------

The Trinchera ranch is quite possibly the only ranch of its kind that is willing to work with us to focus this trip primarily on an important native fish – the Rio Grande Cutthroat. The Trinchera Ranch is positioned in the heart of San Luis Valley in southern Colorado and is 172,000 acres of completely private land. The ranch is dedicated to conservation and is home to a myriad of animal species and boasts vibrant populations of rainbow, brown, brook, and native Rio Grande Cutthroat trout.

While this is obviously a guided fishing adventure, we will actively participate in Rio Grande Cutthroat conservation on this trip as well. We will be working with both Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Trinchera Ranch to help Rio Grande Cutthroat on multiple fronts. Chris’ good friend and CPW fisheries biologist, Estevan Vigil, (some of you may have met him last year when he presented at Living Waters) will be on site for a special Q&A time as well.

The guiding structure for this trip is a 2:1 angler to guide ratio and you will have the opportunity to be guided by each guide. We are blessed to have an incredible guide staff for this trip! The guides for our 2022 trip will be Kevin Terry - Trout Unlimited Colorado Field Staff, Marcus Elich – Trinchera Ranch Guide and Activities Director, and Chris Johnson – Owner of Living Waters Fly Fishing.

    What is included:
3.5 Days of Guided Fly Fishing – Fishing destinations: Ute Creek, Little Ute Creek, Trinchera Creek and its tributaries, Ranch Lakes, and many more!
Daily DIY Fishing at the Lodge – This includes a half day of DIY fishing at the start of the trip. There are 3 different fishing destination choices on lodge grounds and they are fishing better than ever in 2022!
All Meals – The food served at the ranch is beyond amazing and all beer/wine is provided.
4 Nights of Lodging – The ranch lodge is 5 star and single occupants always have their own room.
Flies/Soft Tackle - All flies, leaders, and tippet are provided. If you need a rod/reel to use for the trip, the ranch can provide as one as well!
Access to Rare Places - You will get to explore creeks that are seldom seen, much less fished.
Additional Activities - Guided hikes, E-Bikes, Wildlife Tours, Ranch Tours, etc… all of which are FREE for non-anglers and anglers.
So much more than we can mention here…

We are looking so forward to hosting this trip of a lifetime! Please contact Chris Johnson at (512) 828-3474 for additional information or if you have any questions. Take care and God Bless!

We're going to Kauai then, or else I may have booked this with them yesterday when I got the email. Looks like a great trip.

We fished the Trinchera 4 or 5 years ago; really nice facilities! We were the only ones there and sat at the end of the dining room with the big wrap around window, watching a herd of elk graze in the meadow. First class place! Steve Forbes still maintains a house on the ranch even though his family no longer owns the ranch.

Found in Colorado’s Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Trinchera Blanca Ranch offers guests the ability to experience a 172,000-acre protected landscape during all four seasons. From fly fishing and mountain biking, to mountaineering, wildlife viewing and star gazing – there are awe-inspiring experiences for everyone.
